Quinn chuckled and took my hand. “You think I’m gorgeous? Not some scarred monster who should stay locked up in a bell tower?”
I turned my hand over and linked our fingers. “If anyone locks you in a bell tower, I’ll find the key. Or pick the lock.”

Covid-19 Anxiety

I know I’m not alone in dealing with high anxiety right now. We’re living in unprecedented modern times. This virus has scared most people into isolation. Wisely, we started self-isolated a week prior in preparation.

Concentration has been difficult. I can’t even read right now, and I feel so useless.

It doesn’t help that it’s been cloudy and rainy since before the stay at home orders were issued. Getting outside has been almost impossible. But I need to count my blessings so to speak.

I’m fortunate that I still have my day job, while so many others have lost theirs.

My family is healthy and safe at home.

My friends have so far been untouched by this virus.

My mom is staying isolated.

My dad is safe at his farm, even though he continues to work. At least it’s outside loading corn and not around a lot of people.

It’s not all gloom and doom, even though it feels like it. I’m focusing on the positive. I’ll admit it’s hard most of the time, but that’s all I can do.

Stay safe, everyone. We will get through this.

Pre-order Stealing Home

The 3rd and final book of the Westland University series is now available for pre-order!

Chuck Mathis gets his own story after watching his friend almost kill himself in Full Count, then he suffered at the hands of a vindicitve girlfriend in Game On. Now Chuck has his chance at a happily ever after.

If only it was that easy.

Stealing Home releases June 30, 2020.

Going home is rarely a good idea, until you discover what home really means.

After the disaster of Westland’s steroid scandal, Chuck Mathis knows his baseball dreams are kaput; so he decides to focus on his other dream: psychology. He’ll graduate from Westland University, then he’ll leave Madison to earn his master’s and PhD. Nothing is going to stand in his way. Not his overbearing father. Not even baseball.

Except maybe Sophie Tipton.

Chuck decides to work for his father and play on his father’s slow-pitch softball team over the summer. Sophie manages the team. She’s not about to let some college baseball player take over either. And Chuck wants to do more than just play ball with the fiery beauty.

Just as things are falling into place, they start to fall apart. Chuck has to choose between his love of baseball and the girl who has stolen his heart.

It’s an impossible decision.

The Rebound is now available!

I’m so excited to share Rachel’s story! She’s fierce and strong. I just love this character!

Rachel Westbrook has it all: looks, money, prestige. What she doesn’t have is a good reputation.

She’s tired of being the rebound girl.

When her friend Vicky proposes a blind-ish date with Adam Marshall, Rachel thinks she might actually have a chance to turn things around. Then she sees Adam checking out his ex-girlfriend Heather. She knows how to play this game. She’s played it before.

But Adam doesn’t want Rachel to be just his ruse to get over his ex, he wants to help Rachel change her reputation. They make a deal to fake a relationship until they can both move on.

Now Rachel’s falling for an unavailable guy. She focuses on her three-person basketball team to keep her sane as they prepare for a tournament they need to win. Except Adam’s on her mind more than he should be.

Adam opens up to her, and she’s not sure if it’s authentic or all part of the game. When tragedy strikes, can she turn to him for a shoulder to cry on? Or would that only lead to more heartache?

As Rachel discovers things aren’t always what they seem, she has to figure out if what she has with Adam is legit or if she really is just another rebound.

Starting Over

I gave up blogging a while ago. Mainly because of time constraints. Time is still an issue, but I have so much coming up in 2020 that I needed a place to share outside of Twitter and my newsletter.

So, here’s round 2 of blogging.

Stay tuned for news about The Rebound (coming in December 2019), Just One Song (early 2020), a super secret project (May 2020), and Stealing Home (summer 2020).

Happy reading!
